Course Description

During the PhD, doctoral candidates encounter a wide range of demands that often lead to high stress levels: a heavy workload, high demands from the scientific system, funding problems, interpersonal conflicts, or even unforeseen events that throw the schedule into disarray. How do you manage to stay mentally healthy during your doctorate and afterwards? And what can you do to increase your own well-being and life satisfaction?

The workshop supports graduates and doctoral students in identifying their individual risk and protective factors for mental health and, based on this, in drawing up a personal plan for stress management and increasing mental resilience. In addition to basic knowledge about stress development and resilience, the workshop includes many practical exercises that give space to take care of one's own well-being. The course is designed for all phases of graduate studies and for the time afterwards and can be adapted to the specific needs of the participants.
