Course Description

At a time when science and research are of global importance, effective communication of these topics is essential. The course is aimed at scientists who wish to utilise the reach of social media to make their research accessible to a wide audience. After a comprehensive introduction to the use of social media for science communication, participants will learn how to effectively present their research findings, interact with the scientific community and the public, and build influential online presences on platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram or YouTube.
The workshop ends with a strong practical part where participants start or improve their own profiles.

The seminar is offered as a 4 or 8 hour online or in person course. The thematic focus will be agreed upon individually in each case.

This workshop is available in German as well as English. The number of participants is limited to 12.
