Dr. Kira Borgdorf

Kira is a psychologist, systemic counsellor, and works as an organisational development consultant at Heidelberg University Hospital. She is passionate about mindfulness, communication, and personal development, and convinced that every person has the capacity to grow, regardless of their starting point.

After studying psychology at the University of Mannheim (B.Sc., 2016) and Heidelberg University (M.Sc., 2019), with brief semesters abroad in Turkey and Denmark, she pursued research and completed her doctorate at Heidelberg University on interventions in mindfulness and personality development (Dr. phil., 2025). Alongside her doctoral work, she trained as a certified systemic counsellor (2024) and deepened her mindfulness practice through various meditation and silent retreats. She is currently undertaking foundational training in Nonviolent Communication according to Marshall B. Rosenberg.
