Dr. Annika Kreikenbohm

Annika combines scientific thinking with creative design. During a PhD in astrophysics, the search for innovative visualization and communication formats led to the simultaneous study of communication design and specialization in interactive and immersive media. Since completing her PhD in 2019, Annika has been working as a freelancer in the field of information design with a focus on data visualization and immersive and interactive experiences in augmented reality.

With experience in science communication, co-creation and participatory formats, Annika develops and leads workshops that make complex topics tangible. In interdisciplinary projects and as an innovation consultant, methods from design thinking, facilitation and generative design have been successfully used to bring science and society closer together.
